Façade Restorations in NYC Landmark’s Historic Districts
A sample of the dozens of town and row house facades we have restored in several of Brooklyn’s Historic Districts. Historic materials include brownstone, limestone, brick, clapboard, cast and wrought iron, and slate tile. Masonry, carpentry, fenestration, ornamental metal, and paving comprise some of the architectural elements. Each project was approved by Landmarks, either at Staff Level or Public Hearing. Many of the properties had Violations which we successfully resolved and for which Landmark issued Notices of Compliance. We are particularly happy about those buildings which the Department of Buildings wanted to demolish, which we, working closely with Landmarks, preserved.
